I would like to share some things I enjoy with my fellow web surfers. Some are
embedded in the roots of my childhood (which I think I may still be living!),
while others are interests I have picked up on since I became enamored with computers
a few years ago.
The ASTRONOMY page reflects a long-held curiosity
about the heavens above us. I have taken a couple astronomy courses at UNO,
and also took a couple at Iowa State back in the late seventies. If you have
never checked into astronomy, there are some fascinating things to see out there.
If it's been awhile since you last took a look, check out some of these sites.
It's amazing how many things have been discovered over just the last few years
about a universe which has been around for over twelve billion years.
The MUSIC page goes along with the astronomy page in that
I have long had an interest in it. From listening to the 'Stones and Beatles as
a kid, to learning to like classical music, and finding a few newer bands, I have
always liked escaping with music. There are also some sound links just for fun.
Check out some sounds to spice up the day-to-day use of your computer.
The University of Nebraska at Omaha is my current venue for higher education.
I transferred there after being away from Iowa State for sixteen years. It's a
nice school that's growing fast with a lot of good programs. Hey, I learned to
write this HTML stuff there! If you are thinking about a college that's not too
small, but not too big, you should look into it.
The SPORTS page has links to local (depending on where
you're at, I guess) and national sports clubs. The NFL, NBA, MLB, and college
football, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers and
UNO Mavericks.
Kids stuff has some stuff for, well, kids! Nick-o-lodeon,
Disney, Discovery Channel, and Goosebumps are a few sites linked to. Don't be afraid,
grown-ups, you can go there, too if you want to.
So sit back, relax, and Explore the Universe at Ed's Web World!
